This research report gives a deep dive into how parents in the United States are engaging with online communities and social media. All around the topic of how they are deciding to raise their children. The researchers combined a nationally representative survey of parents with children aged 12 and younger and did a content analysis of six months of posts and comments from Reddit’s biggest parenting community. The results from this survey were very interesting, some of the facts being that 34% of parents visit online parenting communities monthly, while similar numbers visit rarely or never. It was proven that mothers and younger parents are more likely to engage regularly than fathers or older parents.
